Exercise Physiology

Building strength, skills and confidence through movement.

Exercise Physiology in the paediatric population is an evolving field focused on the prevention, assessment, and management of chronic conditions, disabilities, and health challenges in young people.

At Playfit Therapy, our exercise physiologists use evidence-based approaches to design personalised programs that support each individual’s overall health, development, and wellbeing.

Through a combination of movement-based therapy, including targeted exercise, Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) and hydrotherapy, we help young people build strength, coordination, and functional skills in engaging and supportive environments. Regular physical activity plays a vital role in developing heart and lung health, muscle strength, motor skills, and immune function, while also positively influencing cognitive development, emotional regulation and social wellbeing.

Our team delivers both individual and group sessions, supporting young people to grow in confidence, develop meaningful skills, and build strong connections with others.
